What is Autism?

So what is Autism?

In episode 1, we cover the definition of the autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a developmental disability and how it can impact an individual's daily life. Did you know that the prevalence rate of ASD in the United States is 1 in 54 children?!! That’s almost 2% of the US population of children! This episodes covers how as a community, we can promote for change in our education system, insurance and health care policies, and any other support systems in order to ensure that the autistic population has a fair chance in becoming successful independent members of our society.
